Marking an extraordinary milestone in British history, the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Gold Strike on the Day Matte Sovereign is a highly sought-after commemorative release celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign. Struck on 6th February 2022, the exact date of Her Majesty’s accession, this exclusive sovereign is distinguished by its matte finish, a striking departure from traditional proof or bullion sovereigns.
Crafted in 22-carat gold and struck to the highest standards by The Royal Mint, this sovereign boasts a limited mintage of just 1,200, making it an exceptionally rare and desirable addition to any collection. The coin’s reverse features Jody Clark’s reinterpretation of the Royal Coat of Arms, symbolising the strength and legacy of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, while the obverse showcases the final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.
With its historical significance, limited production, and stunning matte finish, the 2022 Platinum Jubilee Strike on the Day Sovereign is a true collector’s piece that pays homage to a reign like no other.
