To honour the occasion, The Royal Mint added a small but historic detail – a special George III privy mark beside Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous St George and the Dragon reverse. This subtle addition makes the 2020 sovereign one of the most distinctive modern proof sovereigns.
Struck in 22-carat gold, this coin carries the fifth definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark on the obverse.
