2018 Gold Proof Quarter Sovereign – Sapphire Anniversary Privy Mark
This 2018 Gold Proof Quarter Sovereign carries a special crown-and-"65" privy mark, struck to mark the Sapphire Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation — 65 years since she was crowned at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953. The privy mark appears to the left of the date on the reverse, with Benedetto Pistrucci's "B.P." initials positioned to the right of his iconic Saint George and the Dragon design.
Graded NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo — the maximum attainable grade, indicating a flawless strike with no imperfections under magnification and strong cameo contrast between the frosted devices and mirrored fields.
