Part of the prestigious Queen’s Beasts collection, the 2020 White Lion of Mortimer Quarter-Ounce Gold Proof Coin is the eighth release in this highly popular 10-coin series from The Royal Mint. Inspired by the ten heraldic statues that lined the entrance to Westminster Abbey for the Queen's coronation in 1953, each coin in the collection celebrates a powerful royal lineage.
This 1/4oz proof is struck in 999.9 fine gold to The Royal Mint’s highest proof standard and features a stunning design by Jody Clark. The White Lion of Mortimer represents loyalty, strength and royal ancestry, with a shield bearing a white rose encircled by a golden sun.
This coin was released in strictly limited numbers and is presented in its original Royal Mint box with Certificate of Authenticity.
